Leading property maintenance software company, Tapi, has partnered with digital insurance company, Open, to launch its own Landlord’s House Insurance designed specifically for rental properties managed by real estate agencies.
The policy is a first of its kind in New Zealand as it allows property managers to digitally submit and manage almost all claims of up to $10,000 on behalf of their landlords.
This is a vast improvement to similar practices in-market, where, for example, property managers are limited to lodging claims over the phone and are only pre-authorised to do so after completing additional paperwork. In contrast, Tapi allows property managers to lodge and manage most claims online, anytime through their platform, while policy documents and important information are automatically shared.
Open powers the insurance offering and technology, end-to-end from quote to claim, with Kiwi and Pacific insurer Tower, as the underwriter. The insurance offering is fully integrated into Tapi’s property maintenance software.
